Who am I?
I am in my late twenties and a Chemical and Biological Engineer who is currently working as a Senior ESG/Sustainability Consultant specializing in strategy development, carbon reporting, and learning program design.

To be honest, I stumbled into the ESG/Sustainability line of work. I was looking for something more than becoming a white-collar employee in a corporation, I was looking for some meaning in the work I would be doing after graduation even though I did not know what it meant. I was studying engineering at the time, and would probably become some sort of an engineer, but that was not enough for me. So, I enrolled in different classes than the engineering curriculum offered, participated in any work-related event I could find, and interned in multiple fields -including one in a contemporary art museum. Through all these efforts, I got to know people working as sustainability professionals and realized what they were doing might just be up my alley. Then, I applied for a job in the field, worked part-time as a sustainability consultant until graduation, and transitioned to a full-time job immediately after graduating. I have been working in this field ever since.

However, after a certain threshold, trying to find meaning through the work I did started to lack. I was glad to be working in the ESG/sustainability field instead of mass-producing something to be consumed, but it was not enough. I needed to spread my wings and try to make something out of my own experiences. That was when I started imagining, contemplating and writing about my experiences.
I have lived my life mostly centred around basic sciences. I focused mostly on math, chemistry and biology throughout my student life, and learned to think through facts, not imagination. But, since the pandemic and getting secluded at home for an extended period, I found an inner passion for social sciences as well as reading and writing. At first, I struggled to extrapolate, my imagination had dulled after not being used for so long, but it got better as time passed and I kept writing daily on social sciences-themed matters as well as the experiences I have had through living. Finally, all this led me to make sense of my writing and turn it into a readable bunch so that I could publish it for the rest of the world to witness, and to learn from.
